With the Ashes in full swing and being mid-July time again to think about our upcoming cricket season! For those relatively new to the club, with many players, teams, coaches, managers, grounds, groups and programs to sort out we do need to start our season preparations early!
The club Annual General Meeting was recently held on 10 July and at this meeting I was elected to the position of President of the club. This means that I will be passing on the role of Vice President Juniors and would like to thank all who have helped and supported myself and the club over the last three seasons.
I am extremely pleased to announce that Graeme Kelly will be taking over the role of Vice President Juniors. For those who don’t know Graeme he has been with the club with son James Kelly from In2Cricket days through to two years of U10 cricket. Daughter Ruby Kelly debuted with the clubs first ever girls team last season so the Kelly family is well represented at the club.
Graeme has coached the mighty U10 Gold team for the last two seasons and co-ordinated U10 training. For those lucky enough to be in U10 last season I am sure you will know how much Graeme brings to the club. I know that Graeme will received great support from the club in his new role.
I will still be involved with the Juniors as an U14 coach and will be co-ordinating registrations again this year for the TWCC Junior section.
An email to the club and to each individual age group will be sent over the next few days’ regarding registrations and the season ahead !!
